Hospitality Works!

Hospitality Works is a fundraising project created by the Meinster family of Marsilio’s Kitchen and Rossi’s Bar and Grill to provide an opportunity for the unemployed hospitality workers (due to COVID-19) to prepare and deliver food for Meals on Wheels Mercer County and now has expanded services to provide weekly complimentary meals to medical staff in hospitals in both Mercer and Bucks counties.

Your  generosity can directly help someone who is out of work, someone who is housebound and depends on Meals On Wheels for their daily meal, and help to provide a hot meal for our hardworking medical staff and their families.

Please share this with anyone you think would be interested in helping!

What we're working on!

Hello Family and Friends of Marsilio's.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all the generous people who have donated to Hospitality Works! Each week we are humbled and grateful for your desire to help those who are unemployed, the housebound, and the front line medical staff serving our community.

Here is a quick update to let you know what's been happening. Many are at work making and delivering food for Meals On Wheels Mercer County. Last week we prepared and delivered hot meals to Capital Health, Hopewell NJ, and Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown, PA. This week we will be delivering hot meals to RWJ, New Brunswick, NJ, St. Mary, Langhorne, PA, and Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan, NJ. Wednesday is National Nurses Day! So let's honor our nurses by donating a meal or just giving them a shout out from the heart!

We certainly hope to continue doing this for as long as the services are needed and until we can get our employees back to work full time. If you are interested in sponsoring a meal for a hospital or any other medical facility, please let us know! Every little bit helps!

Thank you so very much!

Hello Family and Friends of Marsilio's.

We hope this email finds everyone safe, healthy and doing what needs to be done during this very challenging time. We feel especially grateful for those individuals who are out working every day under stressful conditions to provide medical care to our community.

We send out a HUGE thank you from our staff (Marsilio's Kitchen and Rossi's Bar and Grill) for the many generous donations to Hospitality Works! They have been working these past few weeks with Meals on Wheels Mercer County (MOWMC) preparing and delivering food! We are working daily with Sasa Montano, Chief Executive Officer, to help her meet the heightened needs of MOWMC. Thanks to those of you who have donated, MOWMC has assured confidence that it will never run short of volunteers to prepare and deliver meals.

In addition, through the generosity and support of the donors of Hospitality Works, we are thrilled to share with you that we are now starting to deliver hot prepared meals to the staff and family of our local hospitals! Last Saturday we started with Capital Health Trauma Team, Trenton. This upcoming week we will serve "Medical Meals on Wheels" to St. Francis Hospital, Trenton, RWJ Hospital, Hamilton, Princeton Medical Center, Plainsboro, St. Mary Hospital, Langhorne, and Capital Health, Hopewell. So once again, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

We will continue to raise funds weekly until our local restaurants are back up and running. If you are working and able to donate, please click on the button below and consider how your generosity can directly help someone who is out of work, someone who is housebound and depends on Meals On Wheels for their daily meal, and now how you can help to provide a hot meal for our hardworking medical staff and their families.

Please share this with anyone you think would be interested in helping!

Hello Family and Friends,

The events of the past few weeks have significantly impacted our lives, causing all of us to experience emotional and financial stress. We have been diligently doing our part to help contain this virus. Over the past ten days we have given much thought as to how we can help individuals and families who need it most, while also assisting hospitality workers who have little to no current income to pay for food and necessities.

We've received numerous calls, emails and texts from customers and friends who have generously offered to help us and our employees, and we are deeply humbled and grateful for the kindness extended to us. Please read below to see our response to your question, "How can I help?".

We have identified two immediate problems. First, most hospitality workers are unemployed. Second, there is a shortage of volunteers that would normally be available to deliver food to the elderly/housebound who depend on community programs to deliver their meals. Most of the regular volunteers are elderly themselves and cannot risk going out of their own houses right now.

We have reached out to our friends at Meals On Wheels Mercer County and together we have identified and made possible this opportunity. If you want to help both hospitality workers and residents who need meal delivery, please consider donating today.

One hundred percent of the money that is donated will go directly to pay hospitality workers who are currently unemployed. They will be paid for their work to prepare and/or deliver meals. The Meals on Wheels program delivers over three hundred meals per day! http://www.mealsonwheelsmercer.org/

Donations will be sincerely appreciated by both those who need to work and those who need assistance.  Again, we are truly grateful for your help, and even more grateful for your friendship.

With Gratitude,
Alan and Denise Meinster, and the staff of Marsilio's Kitchen
